CIVAL It was like a dream. A strange image of his imagination. He'd slowly and cautiously climbed up a rainbow that led to a cloud. It'd been blurry, so he couldn't make out hardly anything. Not long after his paws touched down on something soft and white like snow did he suddenly collapse.
Perhaps the air had gotten thinner, but that seemed impossible. He was breathing just fine.. Maybe it really was just a dream. Cival really couldn't be sure. It was the evening when it all happened. By now it was some time in the night.
Slowly, the wolf's eyes opened to reveal brightly colored irises. Everything spun at first, but as soon as it all stopped and settle, he was a little shocked at what he found. A large wall stood in front of him, and the "snow" he'd walked on was not snow at all, but was actually the clouds he'd often seen in the sky. Where the hell was he?

x Ace x
Ace walked calmly behind Cival, each paw touching the rainbow with such a light touch only those with the best hearing could catch the sound. He had been here a few times before, and knew he would find Loki here, and that Cival would find Odin here. It was time the pup met the god he was a messenger face to face, anyway.
By the time the bridge ended, they were higher than the highest mountaintops. Stepping off onto the clouds, which felt cool and soft beneath his feet, he glanced up at the sky. If one looked close enough, they could see Hati chasing the moon across the sky. By now Skoll and the sun would be on the other side of the worlds.
“Welcome to Asgard, Cival. The home of Odin and many other gods. Beyond these walls are the gods we are messengers for, and the hall of the souls that have died in battle,” Ace told him as he went over to a gate, where he was asked to state his name. “Ace,” he replied, “and Cival.” The gate swung open and he crossed into the threshold of the gods.

After taking in his surroundings, he glanced toward the voice and saw his alpha. A confused look crossed his face, then he realized what Ace meant. "Odin?" he asked slowly before following Ace. Cival kept close to Ace and held his head low.
"Ace, I'm not sure how I got here," he muttered. Cival's eyes darted around, trying to take in the odd and unfamiliar surroundings. He'd only heard of the place known as Asgard, though never imagined he could get there. When the elder female had raised him, she'd told him his deity was Odin. Excitement and nervousness rushed through his body as he thought of any possibility of meeting the god.
Suddenly, Cival tripped over himself and fell. Embarrassment swept over him, and he jumped to his feet and shook himself. Hopefully no one saw that. Yeah right. I bet at least Ace saw that. Cival thought to himself and continued to follow his alpha.

Ace nodded, and said, “Odin is the king of the gods, you could say. Though the Vanir don't like him all that much, and Loki is half and half. Loki is my deity. Our deities, Odin and Loki, are the only two that can shift shape of all the gods in Asgard and Vanahiem.” He believed it to be truly remarkable that he had gotten to be a messenger for Loki—and that Cival a messenger of Odin. It was a great honor to be a messenger of Odin, who is regarded as of the strongest gods, and the wisest.
Looking at Cival, he smiled apologetically. “You were summoned here. Loki says that Odin was having some trouble getting through to you, and so you were placed on Bifrost, the rainbow bridge that connects our world, Midgard, to the world of the gods, Asgard and Vanahiem,” he explained, not really sure if what Loki had said was true. Sure, Loki could be a hero, as well as a trickster, but if Odin really hadn't wished to see Cival, they both would not have been teleported there. But he didn't wish to make the wolf worry over it or anything, though he probably already had done that.
When Cival tripped, he kept his eyes forward, though he did stop and wait for Cival to regain his composure. He had a suspicion that Cival hadn't really tripped on accident, since Loki was known to toy with messengers, even his own. There wasn't anything that Ace could do about that, though, and he just lead Cival further into Asgard. Freya appeared on the pathway to the castle-like structure that they were headed to. Freya was familiar with him, as he had been there a few times before, and he stopped to bow his head to her and touch her nose in greeting.
“That is how we usually greet the gods. Freya guards the way so that no intruders can get by,”[ he said, passing Freya, who had stepped out of his way so he could pass. She was a mighty and large wolf, larger than the messengers or normal wolves of Midgard.

Cival stared at the large female, then did his best to just keep low, though at this point it seemed like a hopeless task. He sighed quietly once they were passed Freya. He'd never seen a wolf - male or female - so large before in his life. As he allowed all the given information to sink in, something made him wonder why he wouldn't have heard the call of his deity. Perhaps it was the fact that he came from a line of normal wolves, but then again, that shouldn't prove to be a complication... should it?
The brute mentally shrugged the thoughts away and went back to taking in the sights and smells. The more he was in the area, the more relaxed and comfortable he became. He also realized he didn't feel so... out of place here.
"So, Odin wishes to see me?" he asked, curiosity sparked and he watched Ace for a moment. [/blockquote]

(Sorry this took so long, my friend.)
Freya was hardly the largest of the deities here, Ace knew, but he would let Cival see that for himself. Odin rivaled most of the others in size and intelligence, not to mention he was the king of the gods. Or at least, the Aesir. At first he wondered if he should explain these things to Cival, but he didn't wish to confuse him. Things were complicated enough as it was. And not even Ace himself could figure out quite what was causing some of these things to happen.
“Yes. Something has been blocking him from you down in Midgard. I'm not sure what could block one of the three gods that created everything you see, but it is most likely the rivals of the Aesir—either the Vanir or the giants. Most likely the giants,” Ace explained, coming up to a ridiculously large pair of doors. He placed his paw on the door and it began to open.
Inside was a grand thrown, and upon it say perhaps the largest wolf in all existence. Ace bowed to him and said, “Greetings, Odin.”
