Xavier blushed just slightly as Kalypso's small paw came down on top of his larger one. It made him feel more comfortable. It made him feel like she actually cared, and at this point he could tell that she really truly did care about him, even though the two had just met. It was a nice feeling, to have someone care about him. Xavier now knew he shared this feeling, he cared about Kalypso as well. He didn't want her to think she had upset him, for she had nothing to do with his pack's troubled past.
"No, you've done nothing of the sort. Saying this, Xavier's expression became soft. "It has nothing to do with you Kalypso, it was just something that happened in both my, and my pack's past." Xavier then wrapped his fluffy tail, around Kalypso, in a calming manner. He hoped she didn't mind, he just didn't want her to think she had done anything wrong when she hadn't. She did quite the opposite really, she made him feel relieved and comforted, something that no wolf had ever done before.

Kalypso gave Xavier a tender smile, filled with a small relief. It relieved her to know it wasn't her doing, but she still felt bad for the brute. It must have been bad for it to cause the wolf so much pain.
At the feeling of Xavier's tail, Kalypso's body trembled. The brute's wonderful scent fell like a veil upon her, invading her sensitive senses. The fae closed her sapphire eyes and inhaled deeply. So sweet...Kalypso was forced to physically restrain herself from plunging her nose into Xavier's fur.
Kalypso moved closer, her shoulder brushing the brute's. She liked the contact between them. So much that she nuzzled her maw beneath his. Another comforting gesture. It helped comfort her as well. "I'm sorry, Xavier," she whispered.

A sudden calming warmth spread over Xavier's body, as Kalypso leaned into him. He stared into her eyes, a relaxed, and happy expression on his face. He had noticed a slight tremble as he had curled his tail around Kalypso, but it didn't seem to be a tremble of discomfort. No, not at all, the beautiful she-wolf semt to long for his touch, just as much he longed for hers.
Kalypso's maw beneath his, Xavier couldn't help but give her a light lick. She had comforted him all this time, now he wanted to comfort her. "Don't be sorry. he said softly, his tail wagging slightly. If anyone should be sorry, it should be me. I shouldn't have said anything that would make you worry." As Xavier continued to gaze down at Kalypso, his heart began to thud in his chest. He had never felt this way about anyone before, even though he and Kalypso had just met.

Kalypso stared up at the brute after his small lick. "Whether you said anything or not, I would have still worried, Xavier. I could read it in your expression and you posture. When someone is hurting, it shows. Whether they know it or not," she explained.
"Besides, my worry shows that I care for you, dear brute. Even if we had just met," she said, speaking aloud both of their thoughts. It was odd, but true none the less. Kalypso felt drawn to the brute, more so than most. They got along easily with no confrontaions what so ever.
To say the very least, she liked the flamed colored brute. More so than she thought.

"I guess that is true..." Xavier tilted his head, thinking about what Kalypso had said. Was he that easy to read? He wasn't sure, part of him felt like Kalypso just had a way of knowing such things, for he hadn't realized that his posture and expression had given so much away. He really truly liked the fact that Kalypso cared for him, however, it made him feel loved and wanted.
"I guess i'm clueless about things like that." Xavier let out a loud chuckle, a soft smile on his muzzle. "I'm glad that you care about me, because I care about you just the same Kalypso." Xavier smiled at her, his voice sincere. He knew that no one liked to see some one that they care about, hurt and saddened. He understood how Kalypso felt, he would have done just the same, if she had acted the way he had.

The fae smiled up at Xavier, her smile wide with happiness. "So," she began with a nudge, "How long have you been living as a Drei pack member? Your whole life?" No matter how many questions she asked the brute, Kalypso never seemed quite satisfied. She always wanted to know more. And more. With as many questions as she asked, she felt as if they had known one another for years. It was a good feeling.
She stayed beside Xavier not breaking contact. Kalypso would nudge him every once and a while, a wide smirk on her face.

"Yes. I was born and raised in my pack, i've lived there my whole life. Everything that I know, was taught by my pack, and we share a close bond." Xavier paused, smiling at Kalypso. She was new to her pack, but Xavier was almost certain that the female would fit in, in no time. She had already won over his heart, he figured it wouldn't be too long before she won over theirs.
Xavier liked the way how Kalypso seemed to be interested in everything he said as well. He figured he would have bored her by now, but she really, truly seemed interested in what he had to say. Letting out a small sigh, but with a smile still on his muzzle, Xavier asked Kalypso a very simple question. "Would you like to hear more?" Xavier figured Kalypso did, by the way she was looking at him. He just wanted to be sure that he wasn't boring her.

"Oh, yes. Please," she answered, grasping onto his every word. As she had been thinking the whole day, Xavier intrigued her. He made her want to know more about him and his life.
Her sapphire eyes stayed locked on the brute's figure as he explained his life to her. To anyone, her eyes held wonder and curiousity, something that she didn't feel on a regular basis.
((Sorry, I have no muse at the moment. ^^)

"Well then, hmm...where to start?" Xavier tilted his head in thought, and he couldn't help but notice Kalypso's sapphire eyes on him. It made him feel more comfortable for some reason, her very presence semt to make him feel more relaxed. His eye's shining slightly, he began. "Well I was born in the Drei Pack, as you already know, and I was raised there. Me, being an only pup, had my parents full attention when I was a pup, and we were...very close."
Xavier turned away for a moment, remembering the loss of his parents. He had been devastated for quite some time, and his sorrow had consumed him, making him a mere shell of what he is today. Still, he decided to continue, for he knew he'd feel better if he did. "You see, about a full year ago, a raging fire spread across our territory, and there was nothing we could do to stop it. Many, many, members of my pack were engulfed in the fire, and with them were my parents..." Xavier's voice trailed off as he remembered what had happened not long ago.
(It's fine, it happens to us all eventually. XD)

Kalypso snuggled closer to the brute as he mentioned the death of his parents. She, too, knew how difficult it was to go through a death of a loved one. Until he felt better, Kalypso kept close contact with him. It was something the fae enjoyed when she was feeling down herself.
Her ears flicked each time he spoke, his breat ticling the shell of her ear. That was how close they sat.

Smiling at Kalypso's close contact, Xavier continued. "My parents... i'll never forget them. My pack's been trying to recover from the fire ever since, and it's been... rough at times." Despite the painful memories, Xavier felt oddly comfortable. He was sure it was Kalypso's prescence, she had a way of doing that. Closing his eyes for a moment, he thought of what to say next.
After a moment of silence, he finally continued. "Not all of my past was bad though. I remember spending time with my parents, I remember playing when I was a pup, I remember training to be a warrior. There are plenty of good memories too." Xavier sighed a light sigh as he finished. He remembered the good times he had with his family. It was what had kept him going since the fire, for he knew that his parents would want him to continue, to live on. They wouldn't want him to sulk about his loss, and so, he rarely did.

((Sorry, I've been gone so long. I've been really sick))
Kalypso stared up at the brute, her heart aching for him. She knew the pain of losing such close loved ones. She also knew what good memories they had made together.
While Xavier spoke, Eden couldn't help but lay her head against his shoulder, memories of her own parents flooding back to her. The fae could remember when she was a pup and how they raised her, played with her, taught her. They were magical times. A single tear escaped her dark eye lid and slid down her cheek.
